Beata Geyer's latest installation MONUMENT, presented in Factory 49, is a conceptual elaboration upon colour, form and space.
MONUMENT is a monochromatic intervention, a sequential saturation of architectural space through colour.
The MONUMENT's large colour forms implicate dialectical tension, a confrontation between the fixity of architectural form and colour itself, which is uncontained, uncontrolled, not fixed and most of all, irrational. Beata Geyer is based in the Blue Mountains. She has exhibited nationally and internationally.
